The course aims to know some innovative methodologies that are relevant to social service and social work. To understand the meaning of new methods and practices it is necessary to analyze the evolution of the theoretical paradigms of social work discipline. After the theoretical studies, practical "experimentation" (f.i. role playing, case study, simulation, etc.) will be carried out in order to create connections between theoretical evolutions and innovations in social work and service social
Learning of the main theoretical frameworks of Social Work
Ability to analyze different contexts, to evaluate and choose the tools to deal with social issues in the National and International contexts
Innovative tools in working with families, groups and communities referring to empowering theories
Analysis of interventions inspired to Crisis, trauma and task-centered practice
Social service and collaborative planning
Post-modern social service and use of narratives

Definition and characteristics of innovation in social service and social work
The evolution of paradigms in Social Work Theory
Contribution of critical thinking to the development of social disciplines
Think in globally to act locally through policies to promote active citizenship
Innovations in the social service with particular reference to case studies and projects in specific areas of intervention.
