The Degree Course in Funding for Art and Culture focuses on the main financing techniques of non-profit organizations in the artistic and cultural sector. This course provides students with a solid foundation of specific knowledge and skills to become experts in managing financial resources for cultural and artistic projects.
During their studies, students will have the opportunity to explore the different forms of funding available to non-profit organizations in the field of art and culture. They will be introduced to the fundamental concepts of financial management, economics of the arts and cultural policies. Through theoretical lectures and practical case studies, students will gain an in-depth understanding of funding processes and specific fundraising strategies. Topics will cover financial planning for arts projects, budgeting, seeking public and private funding, writing funding proposals, managing sponsorships and patronage, as well as evaluating the financial impacts of cultural projects. The theme of fundraising and in particular of crowdfunding will be dealt with.
Students will also have the opportunity to interact with industry professionals. This will enable them to apply the acquired skills in real contexts and to develop a network of contacts in the sector.
At the end of the degree course, graduates will be able to analyze the financial needs of non-profit organizations in the arts and culture sector, identify the most suitable funding sources and plan effective strategies to ensure the financial sustainability of cultural projects. They will be able to draft persuasive funding proposals, evaluate financial results and measure the economic impact of cultural activities.
1. Understanding of the main funding tools and techniques: Students will acquire an in-depth understanding of the different forms of funding available to non-profit organizations in the arts and culture sector. They will be able to identify and evaluate public and private funding opportunities, as well as understand specific fundraising strategies for the cultural sector.

2. Financial planning and budget management skills: Students will learn how to make detailed financial plans for arts and cultural projects. They will be able to develop realistic budgets, taking into account the different funding sources available and the specific needs of cultural projects. They will have the ability to monitor and manage budgets as projects are implemented.

3. Skills in writing persuasive funding proposals: Students will develop advanced skills in writing funding proposals for arts and cultural projects. They will be able to communicate clearly and persuasively the importance and urgency of cultural projects, demonstrating their financial viability and the positive impact they can generate. They will be able to highlight the social and economic benefits of cultural projects to attract the interest of funders.
