The course is part of the supplementary activities concerning management and business organization: it allows to acquire basic notions related to entrepreneurship and innovation management, both in the perspective of a specialization of studies in subsequent cycles, and in the perspective of an approach to the world of work.
To this end, some conceptual coordinates will be offered, which will be constantly applied to the study of concrete cases.
Students will gain a general understanding of key principles, concepts, and terminology that characterize this discipline. They will also be able to identify strategies and actions applicable to specific cases, using the theoretical and methodological tools made available as part of the course.

Knowledge and Understanding
Students will acquire a general knowledge of the analytical, methodological and critical tools regarding the general principles of entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as the development and implementation of an innovation-oriented strategy.

Ability to apply knowledge and understanding
Students will be able to apply conceptual resources and problem solving skills to the analysis of specific business cases. They will also be able to identify strengths/weaknesses and formulate recommendations for strategic choices and action plans.

Autonomy of Judgment
Students will be able to integrate knowledge and use a variety of perspectives. They will also be able to evaluate and manage complex situations, reflecting on the social and ethical responsibilities associated with the application of their knowledge.

Communication Skills
Students will be able to communicate, clearly and effectively, both theoretical knowledge and the results of specific case analyses.

Learning skills
The course aims to enable students to acquire a thorough knowledge and understanding of principles, strategies and management processes of entrepreneurial projects and innovation development paths, through a largely self-directed and autonomous learning.

Gestione dell’innovazione, 5/e Melissa A. Schilling, Francesco Izzo - ISBN: 8838699984 (Cap. 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11 e 12).

Teaching support tools: PowerPoint slides, videos and other multimedia documents. Teaching materials will be made available to students on the Moodle platform.
Learning achievements are assessed through a written test composed of 15 multiple-choice questions (to be submitted in 25 minutes) with penalties (-0,5 for each wrong answer). Questions will verify the knowledge of the theoretical concepts and models presented in the course, the ability to apply it to real-world examples, and the critical understanding of such concepts. For students attending the course, the grade of the written test is complemented by extra-points earned during classroom activities.
The course will be mainly based on Lectures, with all material used during classes made available to attending students through the moodle platform.
During classroom hours there will be case studies discussion, project works and manager speeches, helpful for the application to empirical cases of theoretical concepts presented during the week's classes.
Additional readings and materials will be available to attending students on the course moodle page.
