Contribution of the course to the overall degree programme goals

Main objective: UN Agenda 2030 SDGs are broad, universal and potentially transformative. The success of these goals depends to a large extent on the coordination of implementation efforts through good public governance.
The course will provide insights from the implementation of public policies towards sustainability.

Expected learning outcomes

The students will familiarize with elements of environmental policy as well as public organization management towards sustainability.

Contents: Institutional mechanisms, evaluation frameworks and coherence tools needed to integrate sustainable development into the daily management of public entities.
