Romance philology is part of the characterizing didactic activities.
Romance Philology 2 develops the reflection begun in Romance Philology 1, analyzing the modeling of Fin'amor by its anti-model: in a series of texts (1) that describe 'non-courteous' values and behaviors supporting the plot in an aristocratic context, according to the semiotic opposition' high vs low ', and (2) that are largely attributable to the narrative constellation of the "Eaten Heart".
Development and deepening of:
(a) linguistic skills in ancient Romance languages (Italian, French);
(b) the analysis and knowledge of the semiotic models (thematic-ideological, formal) underlying the medieval literary textuality;
First approach
to a third Romance literary language, the ancient Occitanic.
Skills acquired in the Romance Philology exercises and in the Romance Philology 1 lessons .
Commented reading of texts in Old Occitan, Old French and Old Italian (in their original form, not in translation).
The bibliography (original texts and scientific essays) will be made available in electronic format on the Moodle platform of the course.
The exam includes the analysis and discussion of the texts and topics presented in class and in the bibliography.
The exam is oral; having passed the Romance Philology 1 exam is the precondition for being admitted to take the exam.
Old French / Occitan / Italian texts will be presented, read and commented according to the traditional ways of text interpretation.
