METHODS OF SOCIAL SERVICE 2 - WORKING GROUP

This course encourages the learning processes starting from studies on real cases and from the achievement of workshop experiences through a professional approach to the methodologies of the social work.

The student will learn to:
- reflect upon the personal motivations and expectations related to own study choice
- investigate the deontological and ethical contents of the profession
-assess the own learning
-experience teamwork
-initiate the development of the own professional identity
- experience some professional measures and tools for social interventions
-make professional choices based on the specific methodologies relevant to social services

There are no special prerequisites. The work of the group is related to the activities of the social service II methodologies course.

Issues that will be treated are:
- Multiprofessional teamwork
- Social Work and social networks
-Assessment
-Community Social Work
-Social planning and social projects
In particular, it will be emphasized an approach toward learning from field experience in order to realize a deep analysis of cases and circumstances with specific reference to the collective dimension of the social services and social work.

There will be a written test and an exercise to be delivered before the exam. The working group is part of the course activities.

Theorical lessons, case study, group work, simulations and role-play.

It will be highly recommended the active participation of the students that will be promoted by a thoughtful approach on the laboratory activities carried out in this course as well as by the critical processing of the notions acquired during the other curricular courses.
