The course aims to provide the student with the communicative language skills required in order to operate independently in the commercial world and is to be regarded as an extension of the English for Economics and Business 1 course. It aims to develop a knowledge of the language specific to various areas relating to international trade.

The course is at the B2.2 level of the CEFR.
The course provides a continuing systematic study of grammar and aims to develop the specific skills required in the field of international trade. Importance is given to the lexis specific to certain subject areas, e.g. investment, energy, going public, competition, banking, training, and consulting. Further practice will be given in the development of language skills in the business context.
