This course is one of the activities of the master's degree program in Conservation Science and Technology for Cultural Heritage that enable the student to gain knowledge and understanding of foundational and advanced concepts in mathematical-statistical and computer science. The course aims to provide an overview of basic and advanced computational methodologies and tools for digitization, management and analysis of cultural heritage data.
By the end of the course, the student will be able to choose among different digitization techniques, organize and create relational and geospatial databases, and apply data analysis and computer vision methods on their own data.

The exam consists of a written test on Moodle comprising a combination of multiple-choice questions, open-ended questions and a design exercise that requires the student to demonstrate his/her ability to analyze and solve a problem by means of the methodologies taught during the course.

The exam aims to verify the understanding of the theoretical concepts introduced during the course and the student's ability to apply them to real-world scenarios.
