COMPETENCE FOR SUSTAINABILITY

The sustainability competences are intended as path of cross-deepening knowledge, oriented towards themes of social and environmental sustainability, and agreed between the teachers and the student. In such framework, the sustainability competences represent an enrichment of any career and can be customised according to the student's desired training profile.

By developing a targeted work or through the participation in seminars/courses among those provided by the Ca’ Foscari University for Sustainability Competencies, the student will acquire awareness about the socio-environmental and economic relevance of the topic and will also have acquired the terminological and theoretical-practical basis on the subject.

There are no prerequisites

According to the chosen topic, activities may include attending seminars and workshops, carrying out bibliographic or scientific research, conducting fieldwork and many other possible activities. Such activities will be proposed by professor and/or directly by the students. They can be developed individually, in groups or in interdepartmental collaboration. It will be possible to register the sustainability ECTS following the production of a thesis, the production of a video or a journalistic article, depending on the activity carried out, which will be assessed by the professor responsible for this module

References for study materials, if any, will be provided to the student according to his/her own specific project.

The final assessment will be carried out according to the type of activity developed and will be made through direct interaction (oral or written) between the student and the professor.

Activities carried out by the student will focus on a theme defined in agreement with the professor, who will guide the student, taking into account the proposals submitted, the projects proposed by the University on sustainability issues, and their scientific consistency.
