The course provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental concepts of the economics and management of the firms. The main topics of the course deal with the internal functioning of the firms and their interaction with the external environment. A special emphasis is placed on providing students with basic knowledge of i) the analysis of the competitive environment ii) the creation and management of the competitive advantage ii) the sustainability management as a source of competitive advantage.
