The course aims at providing an overview of the impact of modern technologies on tourism, their relevance on the development of such sector, and how the main actors manage them.
At the end of the course the student will be able to understand, identify and evaluate the most common technological tools for the promotion and management of tourist activities. The main topics will be: computer networks, Internet and the Web, mobile technologies, web interfaces, search engines and databases.
Basic computing knowledge (basic functions of the operating system, web browsing, e-mail, Office working suites, search engines).
