The module aims to study technological innovation as a fundamental element for the growth of businesses and economies as a whole. Through an economic and managerial approach, the competitive dynamics on the markets, the strategic management of the innovative process and the organizational processes within companies that allow the management of technology are studied in depth. The program includes two insights related to digital technologies (AI and Industry 4.0) and the debunking of some myths related to innovation.

- master the fundamental concepts and ideas regarding technological innovation
- know the strategic and commercial approach of companies that develop technological innovation
- understand the role of the organizational structure and of the new product development teams.
- present the main characteristics of digital transformation
- critically analyze some assumptions of economics and innovation management

The teacher will make available at the beginning of the course a series of readings that can be downloaded from the official website (moodle).
PLEASE NOTE. Cutting-edge research on the subject requires the reading of texts in English.
The exam includes a presentation of a paper in class (from 0 to 3 points) and a written exam with 4 open questions. You can take the exam as attending students only in the first 2 sessions
For non-attending students only a written exam is required (open and multiple choice questions)
