Contribution of the course to the overall degree programme goals
Expected learning outcomes
1) to provide a general understanding of the historical context and the literary production from the "discovery" of America today, especially with regard to the history of ideas, to be defined through the analysis of poetic texts of authors and female authors most representative. In particular, it aims to cover the story of the birth of the idea of America to the development of "de-colonial option".
2) to promote the understanding of cultural phenomena and the capacity of their critical contextualization within the framework of the society that produced them.
3) to provide some critical and methodological base, for the acquisition, by students, of understanding and analysis of the text that promote the autonomy of judgment, as well as to elaborate personal critical ideas.
4) to increase the learning skills needed to undertake subsequent studies with a high degree of autonomy.
