Expected learning outcomes

Pre-requirements
• Having a Chinese language proficiency equivalent to level B1+ of the CEFR (Common European framework of reference for language proficiency).
Contents
• reading comprehension and translation into Italian of Chinese texts on topics related to economy and management: 30 hours of theory and practice;
• training for interaction in business communication contexts, with analysis of grammatical and translational issues: 60 hours of practice A (conversation);
• training in translation into Chinese of sentences including complex grammatical structures: 60 hours of practice B (translation);
• conversation tutoring (C);
• translation tutoring (D);
- supplemental translation tutoring (E).

Assessment methods
- reading comprehension and translation of a Chinese text on a topic related to economics and company management;
- conversation on economics and company management;
- translation into Chinese of sentences including complex grammatical structures.
A facsimile of the translation test is available on the website https://moodle.unive.it/ in the section “[LM6350] LINGUA CINESE AVANZATA PER LA GESTIONE AZIENDALE 1 MOD. 1 - prof. G.F. Arcodia”. The use of dictionaries, even electronic ones, is allowed only during the test of reading comprehension and translation of a Chinese test. To pass the exam it is necessary to obtain a minimum score of 6/10 in each of the three tests: the final mark is the sum of the scores of each of the three tests.
Teaching methods
a) translation classes;
b) writing and conversation practice aimed at building and consolidating the knowledge, skills and competences necessary to meet the goals of the course;
c) tutoring aimed at discussing and clarifying specific language issues that emerged during the course.
