The course "Project management of cultural events" is one of the main courses of the EGART master's degree program and aims to provide an advanced framework on the management of cultural heritage and activities, providing a series of models experimented especially in museums and sector of musical theater.
The objectives of the course will be to present the characters and tools necessary to set up a budget and report system related to projects in the artistic, musical and literary fields, to manage communication and reporting processes, to fully understand the language of numbers related to museum companies and opera-houses.
The set of knowledge that the course aims to provide is linked to the understanding of the project management model applied to cultural companies (with examples and cases of companies operating in the museum and musical theater sector). The understanding of a strategic, economic and financial model able to represent the performances of a cultural company and of individual projects is the main result in terms of expected learning
To this end will be provided a system of skills related to the understanding of methods and models able to estimate and manage the organizational, economic and financial variables of individual projects and cultural institutions as a whole.
It requires a knowledge of the content of basic economic and financial model. These contents are provided in the three-year course "The information-accounting system for cultural organizations I - II" (to which reference is made to the contents and texts).

Compulsory written examination. Followed by optional oral exam.
Written exam with open questions, variously articulated.
Conventional: Frontal lessons. In addition there are active forms of teaching (working groups for exercises and business cases), workshop (La Fenice opera house) and video testimonies

REGISTRATION FOR EXAM. Online registration is COMPULSORY. In case of registration problems, students are required to contact humanistic campus a reasonable number of days BEFORE deadline.
