The course is suggested to students keen to review basic math principles before starting the courses of the Chemistry and Sustainable Technology curriculum, of the Science and Technologies for Cultural Heritage curriculum and of the Engineering Physics curriculum. In particular, the course is strongly suggested for students that have mandatory additional credits (OFA).

The module aims at synthetically reviewing basic math skills, acquired during the first 3-4 years of the secondary school with the goal of completing successfully activities of the first year of the Degree.

Exercises from previous tests will be analyzed.
Knowledge and understanding
- Properties of numbers (natural, integer, rational, real) and of operations;
- Principles for solving polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric, irrational equations and inequalities;
- Properties of elementary functions.

Applying knowledge
- Handling of expressions with power elevation, exponential, logarithm, trigonometric functions;
- Solving polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric, irrational equations and inequalities equations and inequalities;
- Plotting graph of elementary functions.

Evaluation ability
- Self evaluation of own preparation through tests.
