In the philosophical studies Theoretical Philosophy is as fundamental as the study of Physiology in Medicine. It aims to bring out the first elements of the essential issues of human thought, without limiting itself to an analytical decomposition or a historiographical survey. His critical and multi-perspectives syntheses - albeit nourished by the necessary philological and historical-cultural mediations - engage themselves directly and immediately with the weight and consequences of things to think about.
Learning to recognize the multiple meanings, stratifications and references of an important philosophical text.
Learning to focus more on the right questions than on the answers.
Learning to articulate discourses aiming at justifying your own claims to truth.
Learning to select reliable document bases.
The course will immediately enter the vital junctions of the Heideggerian discourse, without delay in any introduction. The course, therefore, already presupposes a certain knowledge of Heideggerian thought.
Title: Martin Heidegger, "Higher than actuality (Wirklichkeit) stands possibility" (Part one)

The title is taken from paragraph 7 of "Being and time", right where Heidegger inserts his own philosophical hermeneutics of human existence into Husserlian phenomenology. To exist means, in a constitutive and effective way, to be possibility. Heidegger questions on the one hand every empty and unrealistic possibility, on the other hand every approach for which the possibility can be technically produced or controlled.
The course aims first of all to highlight the relevance of the interlocution with Aristotle and then how Heidegger undertakes to remove Aristotle from the Thomistic interpretations that have contributed to making him the founding premise of metaphysics.
The course includes 6 hours of weekly lessons. They will be divided in such a way that after every four, two follow seminar courses, in which attending students can also hold short reports.
The first thirty hours will be dedicated to frame the cardinal issues, inscribed in "Being and Time", but also in Aquinas and, alternatively, in Duns Scotus.
The second thirty hours will be focussed on the phenomenological aspects: the experience of being possible that disrupts the apparent saturation of what is.

The exam consists of a written test with open questions. In no more than two hours students are asked to illustrate and comment on some (four or five) passages taken from the texts in the Syllabus.
