The course Spanish Language [EXAM] consists of a theoretical module and a Spanish language training. The general aim of the course is to introduce the students to the tourism professional discourse and to bring them to a communicative competence at the CEFR B1 level. Learning outcomes are assessed through a written and oral final test.

The teacher's module (30 hours) takes place in the first semester of the second academic year (2 lessons in the first period, one lesson in the second period). The language course (A2-B1) is annual (30 hours in the first semester, 20 hours in the second one).
1. Knowledge and understanding
Grammatical, lexical, pragmatic, discursive contents at B1 Level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
Lexical, morphosyntactic, pragmatic, discursive contents of the Spanish language for tourism purposes.

2. Applying knowledge and understanding
Be able to pronounce properly; be able to write correctly, be able to interact politely with tourists.

3. Making judgments
Ability to gather the relevant data to make judgments about the discursivity and the adequacy of the translated text.

4. Communication skills
Be able to read correctly; be able to interact properly and politely with tourists; be able to produce written and oral tests appropriate to the discourse genre and to the communicative situation; be able to translate specialistic tests from Spanish to Italian language and vice versa.

5. Learning skills
Capacity for analysis and synthesis; for self-assessment.


A2 in the Spanish Language at the beginning of the course otherwise it's necessary to intensify the hours of the exercises.
The course introduces the student in the areas, sectors, and contexts typical of professional communication (airport, plane, hotel, travel agency, tourist office, events organization, tourist guide, web space) encouraging reflection on the language and immediate use.
During the course students wil have the opportunity to read authentic texts, watch videos, debate, discuss and comment on a variety of topics, including:

- The various types of tourism and their characteristic
- Sustainable tourism
