The course outlines the main themes of developmental psychology. In particular, it summarizes some aspects of cognitive, emotional, motivational, relational and social development to understand how they can influence students’ relationship with their classmates and their ability to learn.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: to demonstrate adequate knowledge regarding the psychological processes - cognitive and affective / relational - involved in the academic context and in the fields of learning, education, participation, and educational well-being.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: to demonstrate the ability to recognize the main stages of typical and atypical development and the ability to recognize risk and protection factors in uneasy situations.
MAKING JUDGEMENTS: to demonstrate assessment skills regarding the well-being of students, the promotion of growth processes and their needs as adolescents, individuals and schoolmates.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: to demonstrate proficiency in the specialized vocabulary of the discipline, in order to communicate clearly and unambiguously with specialists and non-specialists.
LEARNING SKILLS: to demonstrate an ability to navigate within the fields of developmental psychology; to recognize the cognitivist perspective in the different approaches of psychology; to use research, scientific and educational literature; to reflect on statements supported by scientific research and naive theories, and to employ skills and learning.
DSA AND ADHD: ability to recognize any signs that may require evaluation by a specialist

6. Development of Self-concept
7. Relationships in adolescence: with family and with schoolmates, management of conflicts and group dynamics, bullying
8. The teacher / student educational relationship
9. Teacher's relationships: with parents, with colleagues and with other professional figures

The final evaluation consists of the result of the final written exam multiple choice questions and open questions.
In order to prepare the participants for the final exam, the course offers the opportunity to practice through self-assessment simulations and with the assistance of the teacher and tutors.
