The course is one of the basic training activities of the PF 24 CFU and allows the student to acquire knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of developmental Psychology.
The aim of this course is to introduce students to some basic contents of cognitive and developmental psychology, as fundamental notions for approaching adolescents in school.
The first part is dedicated to the cognitive development of the adolescent and the second part is dedicated to school relations. The following five (5) thematic areas will be developed:
1. Introduction to developmental psychology with focus on adolescence
2. Cognitive processes
3. The adolescent's relationships
4. The educational relationship
5. Teacher's relationships
KNOWLEDGE AND INCLUDING: knowledge of the basic elements of psychological, developmental and learning processes, for the promotion of growth processes through the enhancement of individual paths.
ABUILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND COMPREHENSION: Ability to implement a critical/reflective approach to identify situations of well-being and malaise of students with typical and atypical development.
AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT: critical processing and evaluation skills in the selection of the study material, to discriminate between scientific information and false myths of psychology, to select the teaching approach most suited to the personal characteristics of the students and their own.
COMMUNICATIVE ABILITIES: Demonstrate mastery of the basic specialist vocabulary of the discipline by communicate clearly and unambiguously with the main actors in the school environment.
EQUIPMENT CAPACITY: demonstrating autonomy in the skills and strategies of learning, which allows to continue to update themselves autonomously in the field, in order to operate indipendently.

The study papers are provided by the teacher for each lesson on the moodle platform.
The examination will take place in writing form. The test consists of two parts:
A short written paper to be delivered on the platform during the last week of the course
A written test with 32 multiple-choice questions to be completed on the day of the exam
The course consists of 3 meetings in attendance and 3 online lessons with the assistance of an online tutor during the three-week period. The online part allows you to practice with self-assessment tests
