The course is part of the core courses in the curriculum which provides knowledge in one of the two chosen languages, in this case Turkish. The aim of the course is to obtain level B1 of the CEFR.
1. Knowledge and comprehension
- To understand the advanced rules of Turkish morphology and syntax
- To understand more complex Turkish texts

2. Capacity of application
- To apply the grammatical rules by producing more complex oral and written sentences
- Translation of the texts into Italian
- Capacity to apply the historic-linguistic knowledge in a written paper
Successful exam of the course Turkish Language 1 (LT0054) or level A2.
- Teaching Turkish grammar until level B1. The application of the rules takes place in the language exercises with the native Turkish language assistant.
- Reading and interpretation of contemporary Turkish texts (poetry and prose).
Students unable to attend are requested to contact the instructor in order to be provided with the study program. For these students a presentation of a paper on a topic agreed with the instructor will be requested.

The student will attend a partial exam (without dictionary) in the january exams' session which consists of the assessment of grammar of lexicon. The final exam conists of a) a conversation with the language teacher, b) a written exam (with dictionary), which consists of a short translation of a literary text from Turkish.

During the emergency period due to Covid-19, the exams will be held online, and the written part will consist of a paper. Students are requested to contact the instructor to receive the exam paper as soon as they are registered for the exam. Without having received the exam paper from the instructor, the exam cannot be completed.
