Tourism, as a social, cultural and economic phenomenon, but also with respect to consumption and production models, has evolved enormously these last decennia not only quantitatively, but especially in term of an increasing complexity. Tourism systems are now omnipresent, and the analysis and the management of these systems require a multidimensional approach where the territory is the connecting element.
The master course in Intercultural Development of Tourism Systems intends to provide the students with this interdisciplinary knowledge and with instruments to face these novelties. The core course in economics of tourism systems II wants to deepen the knowledge of the economic dimension of tourism systems.
Thorough knowledge of the mechanisms that determine the competitiveness and the sustainability of tourism systems.
No particular prerequisites.
The course elaborates on the concepts that were presented in the first part of the course and supplies the students, through a group work, with new knowledge regarding the economics of tourism systems and new instruments for their management.
