The teaching is part of the training course of the Master's Degree in Philosophy. The educational objectives are intended to provide the student with the tools for a critical understanding of some of important topics of contemporary philosophy and of a specific language appropriate to the topics covered. Finally, the student must be able to independently and critically manage a complex text of philosophy.
The course aims to provide a series of specific knowledge about contemporary philosophical thought, in reference to the ancient European philosophical tradition. The student will have to acquire the skills, competences and knowledge useful for the critical comprehension and textual analysis of the major authors of contemporary philosophy, through the acquisition of a specific linguistic terminology, demonstrating to have developed communication skills and learning abilities.
General lines of the history of contemporary philosophy and knowledge of the basic philosophical vocabulary.
The course deals with some of the developments of contemporary philosophical thought in reference to the Greek tradition. We will refer to the philosophical researches of Freud, Heidegger and Derrida. The concepts of myth, language, metaphor, being, desire and truth will be the focus of our investigation.
We propose to explore the problematic cores that have favoured the centrality of the relationship between logos and ens, in a condition of distancing from the perspective of practice.
