This course concerning the Mediterranean area will analyse the cities, their heritage and function in the politics of development of the Mediterranean Region. History becomes an instrument to study: 1) the Mediterranean area as laboratory for international and intercultural relations; 2) the development and function of human rights in the Mediterranean area.
Good knowledge and understanding skills applied to Mediterranean policies, to the realization of forms of cooperation based on the citizenship and on the Mediterranean cultural heritage, as well as to the planning of the presentation of own researches and working hypotheses.
Good knowledge of global history.
The Mediterranean Region: reality, development and prospects. Human Rights in the Mediterranean area during the 18th and 20th centuries. Origins, development and functions of Mediterranean Human Rights.
