Teaching is among the compulsory basic training activities for students enrolled in the degree courses in Literature and History.
The students will acquire an interpretative method of the objects of Geography, with particular attention to both the territorial and environmental realities and to the characters, the diversities and needs of the human groups as well as to the contemporary cultural dynamics related to the echogeography.
Basic knowledge of Geography acquired in secondary school of first and second degree
The Earth as a planet, its atmosphere and its climates, the lithosphere, the hydrosphere, its geomorphological characters, all thematic that through a logical plant and a flat language, provide a detailed cognitive framework of the complexity of the world. A world in which man can live only by knowing and respecting the physical reality and the relationships he establishes with it. The course, therefore, thanks to the logic of "echogeography" wants to emphasize the need to preserve, protect, manage and develop the "World heritage", a complex systemic reality in which its animated and inanimate components, now too often because of excesses and disharmonies, they interact with malicious modalities for themselves and for the whole system. In addition to an introductory part, aimed at summarizing and motivating the aims of research and a "useful geography", basic indications are given on how geography has evolved and how the human population is problematically articulated, analyzing the relationships "In giving and having" of man with living organisms and with physical reality; relationships that often disturb ecosystems highlighting the need for sustainable development. Furthermore, the topic of environmental protection is addressed, as an appropriate conclusion of a work that, although without contextualizing the individual issues geographically, provides useful considerations on the transformation of the environment and the depletion of resources, trying to derive the related issues of the relationship place, culture and identity.

For the oral exam the following are considered and evaluated: relevance, argumentative clarity, critical analysis ability, ability to re-elaborate, reflect, etc.
Attending students will prepare the exam according to the instructions given by the teacher during the lessons, drawing partly from the texts indicated in the bibliography, partly to further material provided during the lecture by the teacher, integrating the preparation with group insights in the form of a written report on agreed themes.
Non-attending students will prepare the exam exclusively on the texts indicated in the bibliography.
Frontal, participatory, operative lesson. Explication and sharing of the objectives to be pursued. Group work.
The teaching coincides with the first part of the 12 cfu course.
