The teaching course aims to provide the students the knowledge and the expertise in relation to the Italian Law about the Safety in the workplaces as referred in the Unique Text 81/2008 concerning to the safety and health in workplaces. The teaching course provides behavioral notions of fundamental importance to carry out working activities and provides the students the critical ability to face up properly to possible emergency situations that may occur in workplaces, especially during laboratory activities for didactics foreseen in the CdS.
1. Knowledge and comprehension
a) students are expected to know the essential italian legislation on occupational safety and how is to be applied to chemical lab hazards.
2. Ability to apply knowledge and comprehension
a) students must be familiar with personal and collective protection devices to be utilized in all various types of chemical workups;
b) students must be familiar with safety procedures to be utilized in all various types of chemical workups.
3. Ability in management
a) students must be able to identify hazardous situations and apply working procedures and protection devices enabling safety in various contexts.
4) Ability of communicate
a) students must be able to understand safety instructions both in written and oral form;
b) students must show communication abilities on safety matters in the correct technical terms.
5) Ability to learn
a) students must know how and were to retrieve and refer to documents and legislation about the chemical hazards (safety data sheets, IARC lists etc).
Completion of the General Telematic Training Course lasting 4 hours.
In order access the final test of the Specific Training Course (lasting 16 hours) it is mandatory that the student has completed the General Telematic Training Course and passed the relative final test.

Physical risks, personal protective equipment.
Chemical risk.
Fire, protection and fire estinguishers, emergency management.
Explosion and contamination.
BIological risk.

The didactic material projected in the classroom during the theoretical lessons can be downloaded from the University's "moodle" platform
Written or telematic test with multiple choice answers.
Mandatory conditions for access to the written test are:
1) attendance at least 14 out of 16 hours of class;
2) to have completed the 4-hour General Training Course on-line and passed the relative test.
The written test consists in 20 multiple choice questions concerning the entire program (see content section), aimed at ascertaining the knowledge and ability to interpret security issues. During the written test lasting one hour, the use of books, notes and electronic media is allowed. The written exam is passed with at least 14 correct answers.
Failure to pass the written test involves the compulsory attendance of a new course SICUREZZA E SALUTE NELLE ATTIVITÀ DIDATTICHE E DI RICERCA.
Classes aided by Power Point presentations. The students are invited to discuss about the subjects of the lesson during the classes.
IMPORTANT!
Courses are imparted to a maximum number of 35 students, selected by the Scientific Campus and communicated through official University e-mail (numeromatricola@stud.unive.it).
The attendance of the lessons is compulsory: the loss of more than two hours of lessons involves the cancellation of the entire course.
Access to the educational laboratories is denied without certificate of attendance and passing of this course.
