In 1988 prof. Andrea Vavasori graduated summa cum laude in Industrial Chemistry at the Ca 'Foscari University of Venice.

In 1991 he received a postgraduate degree in "Polymer Science Specialist" at the "International School in Polymer Science" at the University of Ferrara.

From 1990 to 1993 he was researcher at the European Vinyls Corporation (S.p.A.) Research Center at Porto Marghera (Venice) and at the I.C.I. Research Center (UK-Runcorn).

From 1993 until today he was first Researcher (RU) and then Associate Professor (PA) at the Ca 'Foscari University of Venice, first in the Department of Chemistry and later at the Department of Molecular Sciences and Nanosystems.

In 2012 he was awarded as "IUPAC Fellow".

He is a member of the Master's Degree in "Science and Technology of Prevention and Security"

He is a member of the Interuniversity Consortium Reactivity and Catalysis, CIRCC and of the National Interuniversity Consortium for Materials Science and Technology, INSTM.

He is a member of the IUPAC Interdivision Committee on Green Chemistry for Sustainable Development (ICGCSD).

He is a member of the Board of the Department of Molecular Sciences and Nanosystems.
