Veronica Andreani graduated in Italian language and literature at the University of Pisa (2010) and obtained the ‘Diploma di licenza’ in Modern philological and linguistic disciplines from the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa (2011), where she attended the ‘corso ordinario’ (2005-2010). She then continued her studies at the Scuola Normale, obtaining the ‘Diploma di perfezionamento’ (equivalent to a PhD) with a thesis on Gaspara Stampa’s book of "Rime" (2016).

In 2013 and 2014 she was a visiting scholar at the Department of Italian Studies at New York University, where she also taught Italian language to undergraduate students. In 2018-2019 she was a post-doctoral fellow at the Scuola Normale Superiore, where she collaborated on the Renaissance Literature program. In the same year she was assistant instructor in the Italian language and culture summer course held in Pisa in collaboration between the Scuola Normale and Princeton University.

Since 2016 she has been a tenured teacher of literary subjects in secondary education institutions.

Her research interests focus on Renaissance poetry, particularly female poetry, epistolography and the relationship between literature and the visual arts. In particular, she dealt with the following topics:

- Gaspara Stampa: biography, lyric, fortune

- Veronica Gambara: autograph writings and letters

- Female epistolary writing

- Venetian Petrarchism of the mid-sixteenth century

On these topics she has published essays in journals and volumes. She has participated as a speaker in numerous national and international conferences.

Since January 2024 she has been a post-doctoral fellow at Ca' Foscari as part of the PRIN 2022 PoetRi project (Italian female poets of the Renaissance) and is working on a new annotated edition of Gaspara Stampa's "Rime".
