The Master’s level Double Degree programme jointly designed by Ca' Foscari University Venice and Université Toulouse Jean Jaurès (France) allows selected students to take courses in the 2nd year of the Master's degree in Ancient Civilisations: Literature, History and Archaeology at the partner university and obtain a double academic degree upon successful completion of the programme.

The double degree programme is reserved for students enrolled in the Master's Degree Programme in Ancient Civilisations: Literature, History and Archaeology at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
To take part in the programme, students must apply during the first year of enrollment in the course.
Students who wish to apply for this programme must have a B1 level of French language proficiency, which will be evaluated during the selection process. By the end of the mobility period, students are required to achieve a B2 level of French language proficiency.

Students can apply for the programme following the procedures and deadlines outlined in the DJD Call for applications and its annexes, which are published annually.
The results of the selection process are published on this webpage, according to the timelines specified in Annex A to the Call.

After they have been selected, students should contact the programme’s Academic Coordinator (Prof. Stefania De Vido) in order to agree upon the courses they will attend during their mobility, based on the equivalencies between the courses held in Université Toulouse Jean Jaurès and those held in Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.

Selected students will spend one academic year at the Partner University, during their second year of enrollment in the Master’s programme.
Selected students are required to pay tuition fees to Ca' Foscari for the entire duration of the programme and will benefit from total exemption from the payment of tuition fees at the partner University.
For the period of mobility abroad, selected students will benefit from a mobility grant, as provided for in the DJD Call for applications.
Before departing for the mobility, selected students will be required to:
Further information will be provided by the Welcome Unit (International Office) upon completion of the selection process and after formal acceptance of the offer.
After reaching the destination, students will have to get the confirmation of arrival form signed by the Partner University, to certify the actual start date of the mobility period (orientation/welcome activities or educational activities).
If the students intend to make changes to the study plan agreed upon before departure, it is possible to complete a Learning Agreement variation form, which must be approved by the academic coordinators of the programme at Ca' Foscari and at the Host University.
Before returning from the mobility, students will have to get the confirmation of departure form signed by the Partner University, to certify the actual end date of the mobility period.
As soon as available, students must send to the Welcome Unit (International Office) the Transcript of records issued by the Host University, i.e. the certificate listing all the exams they passed during the mobility abroad.
The exams reported in the Transcript of records must correspond to those agreed upon in the Learning Agreement and any subsequent variation forms.
Students will decide whether to defend their thesis and graduate at Ca’ Foscari or at the Parter University, subject to agreement with the Academic Coordinators at both institutions.
In both cases, the thesis work will be supervised by a Professor from Ca’ Foscari and a Professor from Université Toulouse Jean Jaurès. The Graduation Committee will be joint and composed of an equal number of faculty members from both Universities.
Both degrees will be legally recognized in the awarding country.
Students who plan on graduating at Ca’ Foscari are required to submit their request for graduation following the procedures and deadlines outlined in the relevant webpage: Thesis and final degree exam.
In addition, students will have to inform the Humanities Campus (campus.umanistico@unive.it) specifying the graduation session during which they plan on graduating. The Campus will provide them with all necessary information regarding the graduation session.
After having achieved the Italian Degree, students are required to inform the Welcome Unit which will communicate with the Partner University and provide them with all necessary documents to start the issuing process of the French Degree.
Students can graduate at Université Toulouse Jean Jaurès, following the Partner university’s procedures and deadlines.

The Welcome Unit will start the procedure for the recognition of all the credits obtained abroad, including the graduation. Once the recognition is completed, the Ca' Foscari student profile will be closed from the back office without the need to formally submit a graduation request.
Starting from 2021/2022 a.y., a bonus point will be added to the final exam grade for students who obtained at least 12 ECTS abroad during a double degree mobility.
Students who enrolled in a double or joint degree programme before 2021/22 a.y. will not receive bonuses for activities or internships carried out abroad.
