The double degree programme jointly designed by Ca' Foscari University of Venice and Université de Tours offers students the opportunity to pursue an international study path, spending a period of mobility at the partner University and achieving, at the end of the programme, two academic degrees.

The double degree programme is reserved to students enrolled, or who intend to enroll in the academic year following the publication of the Call, in the following master’s degree in Italian Philology, Linguistics and Literature at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
Students already enrolled in the 1st year during the academic year of publication of the Call should achieve at 12 ECTS by the application deadline.
Students who intend to enroll in the 1st year in the academic year following the publication of the Call should possess the admission requirements for the master’s degree (minimum curricular requirements and personal preparation) and commit to finalize the enrolment within the second enrollment period (November-December).
To participate in the programme, candidates should prove having a French language proficiency at least at B2 level. An official language certification is not required, but language proficiency will be assessed during the selection interview.

Students can apply for the programme following the procedures and deadlines outlined in the Call for applications and its annexes, which are published annually.

Selected students will undertake a study mobility period of either one or two academic semesters.
For students already enrolled in the 1st year at the time of the Call’s publication, mobility is scheduled for the 1st semester of the second year.
For students intending to enroll in the 1st year in the academic year following the Call’s publication, mobility is scheduled for the 2nd semester of the first year, with the possibility of extension to the 1st semester of the second year.
The educational activities to be carried out abroad must be agreed upon in advance with the programme coordinator, Prof. Michela Rusi, based on course equivalences defined in the agreement.
To obtain the double degree, students must complete exams totaling at least 30 ECTS for one semester of mobility and 42 ECTS for two semesters of mobility.
It is not possible to carry out only thesis research activities, nor to obtain these credits through graduation at the partner University.

Selected students are required to pay tuition fees to Ca' Foscari for the entire duration of the programme and will benefit from total exemption from the payment of tuition fees at the partner University.
For the mobility period, students will benefit from a mobility grant with a variable amount, as defined annually in the Calls for Applications.

Further information will be provided by the Welcome Unit (International Office) upon completion of the selection process and after formal acceptance of the offer.
After reaching the destination, students will have to get the confirmation of arrival form signed by the Partner University, to certify the actual start date of the mobility period (orientation/welcome activities or educational activities).
If the students intend to make changes to the study plan agreed upon before departure, it is possible to complete a Learning Agreement variation form, which must be approved by the academic coordinators of the programme at Ca' Foscari and at the Host University.
Before returning from the mobility, students will have to get the confirmation of departure form signed by the Partner University, to certify the actual end date of the mobility period.
As soon as available, students must send to the Welcome Unit (International Office) the Transcript of records issued by the Host University, i.e. the certificate listing all the exams they passed during the mobility abroad.
The exams reported in the Transcript of records must correspond to those agreed upon in the Learning Agreement and any subsequent variation forms.
Students will graduate in Venice, following the procedures and meeting the deadlines indicated on the relevant webpage: Thesis and final degree exam | Deadlines, admission and procedures.
Once they have obtained the Italian degree, students must inform the Welcome Unit, which will be responsible for sending the necessary documentation to the partner university to initiate the French diploma issuance process.
Both diplomas will be legally recognized in the countries of issuance.
