For students enrolled until a.y. 2021/2022:
The teaching regulations of the study course depend on the following organisational aspects: educational goals, access methods, study plan, exams, final exam, job opportunities, etc. Throughout their university career, students must refer to the teaching regulations enforced from their matriculation.
Open admission subject to assessment of minimum requirements.
Quota reserved to non-EU students residing outside Italy: 6 seats, of which 3 are reserved for Chinese students living in China, under the Marco Polo Project.
Admission to the programme requires the possession of the minimal curriculum requirements and an adequate personal preparation. Furthermore, the possession of a certificated knowledge of English language at level B2, at least, is required.

Applicants with international qualification must have obtained a bachelor’s degree that is the result of at least 3 years of study. The preliminary evaluation of the qualification is mandatory. Procedures and deadlines are available on the dedicated online platform.
International qualification will be evaluated by the designated teaching committee after the pre-evaluation procedure carried out on the online platform.
The Master's degree programme trains experts to master the main issues in the economic and financial field with a solid theoretical-quantitative and legal background. It aims to train students with expertise in financial markets, the main areas of financial intermediary management (credit, finance, treasury, securities, organisation, planning and control), financial investment management and the measurement and management of financial risks, financial consultancy and insurance, supplementary pensions and pension fund management, the organisation of internal processes and the administrative management of banks and financial intermediaries in general.
Students can participate in exchange programmes for 'double degrees', the Bloomberg Lab and associated Bloomberg courses and certifications as well as acquire CFA and AIAF certification.
The course of study is divided into two academic years: in the first year, the fundamental knowledge related to all the subject areas of the course of study is provided; in the second year, the specific training is completed, also with the free-choice subjects. The second semester of the second year is mainly devoted to the preparation and writing of the dissertation and to the compulsory curricular internship. The internship may be carried out in companies, public bodies and supranational organisations.
Ca' Foscari University of Venice offers international educational programmes designed in collaboration with one or more partner universities, entailing the attendance of part of the study path abroad. At the conclusion of these programmes, selected students obtain a Double Degree (a diploma from Ca' Foscari and one issued by the partner university) or a Joint Degree (single degree jointly awarded by the member universities of the consortium delivering the programme), depending on the provisions of the agreements with the partner universities and the different national regulations.

The educational activities include classroom teaching, workshops and internships (even abroad), in order to acquire wide-ranging skills that can be readily transferable into the world of work.
During the whole university career, the various skills and knowledge acquired by students will be assessed through written and oral examinations.
The degree exam consists in writing a thesis, which must possess the characters of originality, exhaustive documentation and scientific investigation and which will be discussed with a committee of university professors and experts.

Graduates are also able to carry out freelance activities as financial advisors after having obtained the qualification, if required by the regulations in force. He will also have the qualifications to enter doctorates in Economics, Finance, Economics and Management and in the disciplines of Economic Law, in Italy and abroad.
