The double degree agreement between Ca' Foscari University of Venice and The University of Adelaide allows selected students to have an international experience, study in a cosmopolitan and multicultural environment, and, upon completion of their studies, obtain two highly valuable academic qualifications for both the national and international job market:

  • Master's degree in International Management from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice;
  • Master in International Management from The University of Adelaide.

Admission requirements

The programme is reserved for students enrolled in the master's degree in International Management at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. To participate in the programme, students must apply during their 1st year of enrollment.

At the time of application, candidates must have obtained at least 18 ECTS credits. Before departure, they must complete the credits required by the study plan for the first year of the programme by successfully passing the relevant exams. If they are unable to obtain the required 60 ECTS credits, they may, in agreement with the partner university, make up any missing credits upon completion of the mobility period.

Students intending to participate in the programme must have an adequate level of English proficiency, which must be certified through one of the language certifications recognized by the partner university.
Selected students will be required to submit their language certificate during the registration phase at the partner university and will not be required at the time of application.

For further details regarding the programme's admission requirements, please refer to the dedicated datasheet in Annex A of the Call for applications.

Programme and study plan

Selected students for the double degree programme with The University of Adelaide must complete the 60 ECTS credits envisaged by the study plan for the first year of the Master's Degree in International Management by the summer exam session preceding their departure, unless otherwise agreed with the partner institution (see the "Admission Requirements" section).

Students will then spend an academic year abroad at the partner university during their second year of enrollment, where they must earn the remaining 60 ECTS credits and complete the programme.

For more information about the programme and its study plan, please contact the Venice School of Management’s Educational Programme Office: international.management@unive.it.

Tuition fees and mobility grant

Selected students are required to pay tuition fees to Ca' Foscari for the entire duration of the programme and will benefit from total exemption from the payment of tuition fees at the partner University.

For the mobility period, students will benefit from a mobility grant with a variable amount, as defined annually in the Calls for Applications.

Mobility procedures

Before departing for the mobility, selected students will be required to:

  • complete the registration/application procedure at the receiving institution according to the methods and within the deadlines set by the Partner University;
  • sign the grant agreement that regulates the disbursement of the mobility grant;
  • fill out the Learning Agreement, listing all the educational activities to be carried out at the Partner University and identifying the equivalences with the courses included in the Ca' Foscari study plan, which must be approved by the academic coordinators of the programme at Ca' Foscari and at the Host University.

Further information will be provided by the Welcome Unit (International Office) upon completion of the selection process and after formal acceptance of the offer.

After reaching the destination, students will have to get the confirmation of arrival form signed by the Partner University, to certify the actual start date of the mobility period (orientation/welcome activities or educational activities).

If the students intend to make changes to the study plan agreed upon before departure, it is possible to complete a Learning Agreement variation form, which must be approved by the academic coordinators of the programme at Ca' Foscari and at the Host University within one month from their arrival. The Learning Agreement variation form must be approved by both Academic Coordinators.

Before returning from the mobility, students will have to get the confirmation of departure form signed by the Partner University, to certify the actual end date of the mobility period.

As soon as it is available, students must send the Transcript of records issued by the Host University, i.e. the certificate listing all the exams they passed during the mobility abroad to the Welcome Unit (International Office).

The exams reported in the Transcript of records must correspond to those agreed upon in the Learning Agreement and any subsequent variation forms.

Graduation

Students will complete their studies at the host university according to the deadlines and procedures established by the partner institution. Once they have obtained their degree, students must inform the Welcome Unit (International Office) and submit:

  • their diploma or a graduation certificate;
  • a complete transcript of records;

issued by the partner University.

The Welcome Unit will initiate the credit recognition process for the coursework completed abroad and for the final thesis.

Students must submit a graduation request at Ca' Foscari in the first available session following the procedures and deadlines reported in the relevant webpage (Thesis and final degree exam | Deadlines, admission and procedures), indicating the academic coordinator of the double degree agreement as their thesis supervisor.

During the graduation session, candidates will present their final thesis and receive their degree diploma.

Both diplomas will be legally recognised in the country in the issuing countries.

A bonus point will be added to the final exam grade for students who participated in a double or joint degree programme. More information is available at the following webpage: Characteristics and assessment of final exam.
