Students who choose History at Ca' Foscari will have the opportunity to meet high profile scholars and to share courses with a favourable number of fellows. The Department hosting this degree programme has been selected by the Italian Ministry of Education (MIUR) in 2018 as one of the 180 excellent departments in Italy for the quality of its research and is developing interdisciplinary projects in the Digital and Public Humanities, by also promoting the integration of information technology with traditional research and teaching methods.

The Department provides students with many international opportunities with over 70 Erasmus partner universities across Europe and extra-European partnerships. Students can also decide to pursue Joint/Double degrees with universities outside Italy and to attend English taught courses at the Venice International University.
