Additional Learning Requirements (OFA)

Fulfillment of OFA in Mathematics/Matematica

If you have been assigned an OFA (Additional Learning Requirement) in Mathematics/Matematica, you will not be able to take any exam related to the business, economics or mathematics-statistics-IT area before its fulfilment. In the event that you will not fulfil the OFA before 1st October of the year subsequent to your enrolment, you will not be able to take the final exam of any area prior to the OFA fulfilment.

Five exam appeals for the OFA fulfilment are scheduled throughout the academic year. The first exam appeal is scheduled at the end of the related course. Other four exam appeals are scheduled at the end of each term.

For more information about the exam dates please see Study > Exams.

Courses for the OFA fulfilment

If you took an admission test and have been assigned an OFA, you are strongly advised to attend the related courses. Courses for the OFA fulfilment generally start on September/October of each academic year and the first exam appeal is scheduled right at the end of them. Attendance is not mandatory and you do not need to register in order to attend the course. However, please be reminded that you need to fill in your study plan and register for the final exam.

Details regarding classes and contents of the OFA fulfilment courses are published at the webpage Study > Timetable > Precorsi.

Bachelor students who have not been assigned an OFA and wish to improve their background knowledge in mathematics are encouraged to attend the OFA courses as well.

You might be interested in attending the MOOC "Basic Mathematics" in order to enrich or consolidate your mathematical skills. All the information is available on the dedicated webpage Massive Open Online Courses.
