Enrolment from 2025/2026

Additional Learning Requirement (OFA)

Italian Language OFA

The degree programme in Language, Civilisation and the Science of Language requires an adequate knowledge of Italian. Your level of Italian language knowledge will be assessed through a test after your enrolment. It is a a multiple-choice TEST that checks on your reading comprehension, knowledge of vocabulary and grammar, and ability to use Italian in specific contexts. Two test sessions are scheduled during the first semester.

The test may only be taken once. To pass, a minimum of 75% correct answers is required. If you do not pass, you will be given an Additional Learning Requirement (OFA), which can be performed by sitting and passing the remedial course exam in the second semester. Attending classes during the course for the Additional Learning Requirement (OFA) is not compulsory, but it is highly recommended.

To sit the test, you have to register online from your personal area. Newly enrolled students can register for the test after they have been assigned their student number (numero di matricola) and password to access their Reserved Area.

If you sign up for the exam and then decide that you don’t want to sit it in the selected date, you can cancel your registration up to the registration deadline.

For further information on the Italian language tests, please contact Prof. Anna Cardinaletti - cardin@unive.it.

How to fulfil the Italian Language OFA

In order to perform your OFA you must register for (online) and sit the LT0001 OFA Italian language exam. Please note that in order to register for any exam, you need to first finalise your study plan (piano di studi).

If you sign up for the exam and then decide that you don’t want to sit it in the selected date, you can cancel your registration up to the registration deadline.
Four exam sessions are scheduled:

  • two exam dates in the January exam session
  • one exam date in the June exam session;
  • one exam date in the August/September exam session.

Exams are oral. Exam dates will be published on the degree programme’s website. Follow: Study > Exams.
