The admission procedure for the 2025/2026 consists of the following steps:
If you are a candidate with a disability or with DSA, you can make use of individualised procedures for taking the test. All the specific information on the available assistance is in the call for application and on the inclusivity and disability services webpage. The procedure for enrolment with credit recognition from a previous academic career, intra-university or inter-university transfer, involves the evaluation of your previously completed exams and the subsequent issuance of a credit recognition form.
The Ca' Foscari University, according to the European directives that norm the ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System), recognises equivalence: 1 CFU = 1 ECTS.
If you are recognised with more than 47 CFU, you must request admission to the second or third year of this degree programme. Therefore, consult the communication at the top of this webpage.
You may enrol in a Degree Programme requesting accreditation for the following previous studies and training activities:
The year of enrolment is determined on the basis of the number of University Credits (CFU) you have been awarded:
Credits will be recognised according to the Linee guida per riconoscimento CFU [ITA] (CFU Recognition Guidelines).
Activities recognised through a completed Master's degrees or Master's diplomas will not affect the final grade. However, activities recognised from single courses or from an incomplete university career resulting from withdrawal, expiration, or transfer will be taken into account for grade point average.
Enrolment with credit recognition is subject to the fee payment of 300.00 euros: the payment invoice will be provided upon confirmation of enrolment.
You are not obliged to pay if you request credit recognition from activities undertaken previously at Ca' Foscari (for example single courses) if the code of the lectures corresponds to that required by the study plan. In the case that some lectures do not fall among those included in the study plan, and consequently are listed among those that can be chosen by the student, you will have to pay the 300.00 euros fee.
Enrolment with credit recognition is not allowed to students concurrently enrolled in another University degree programme and for which suspension has been requested.
Students cannot request an intra-university or inter-university transfer for admission to the first year. If you have been recognised with fewer than 48 CFU, you must register for the Ca' Foscari selection and sit the TOLC-E test. If you are admitted, you will be required to withdraw from your current degree programme and proceed with a new enrolment.
From April 7th, 2025, candidates who want to get admitted in the first year and need the credit recognition form can submit their request to the relative Campus, filling in the specific form.
As specified in the call for applications, the request must be submitted at least 15 days before the enrolment deadline. During the enrolment procedure, candidates must upload their credit recognition form, approved by the Teaching Committee and duly signed.
You are required to upload the following documents:

Model of degree self-certification with exams | 10 MB |
![]() |
Model of degree self-certification with exams [ITA] | 106 KB |
![]() |
Model of self-certification of withdrawal with exams [ITA] | 5 MB |
Requests for credit recognition are to be submitted to the Campus. The Teaching Committee will evaluate your request. Once approved, the credit recognition form will be sent to you via e-mail. Please remember to sign the form.
Candidates who wish to request credit recognition exclusively for activities carried out at Ca' Foscari, with the same course code as in their current study plan (e.g., single courses attended at Ca' Foscari), can fill in the recognition form themselves and attach it, duly signed, during the enrolment procedure.
Credit recognition forms for activities completed at Ca’ Foscari will be available by April 7, 2025.
