The programme at a glance

1

as a chemistry graduate, you will grasp the composition, behaviour, and transformation processes of matter on a molecular scale. You will synthesise new substances and materials, understand their structure and properties, and predict their behaviour. You will explore the topics of green and sustainable chemistry, enabling you to contribute to the development of a cleaner and safer chemical industry. These tools are indispensable for addressing some of the significant issues related to sustainable development from a modern perspective

2

you can choose between two curricula: Chemical Science and Technologies, and Science and Technologies of Bio and Nanomaterials. From there, you can build a personalised study plan that combines the main chemical disciplines with knowledge of biology, materials science, and economics, all of which can be applied in research and in business

3

you will attend numerous practical laboratory training sessions where you will directly engage with many of the topics discussed in the classroom. In the laboratories, you will be in close contact with faculty and tutors and have access to new facilities and advanced scientific equipment

After graduation

you can find opportunities in companies and labs focused on producing, processing, analysing, and marketing both traditional and advanced products. In these roles, you will help foster the development of greener and more sustainable chemistry

you can continue your studies with a Master's degree

you will be eligible to sit the Italian state examination to register as a chemist (section B) and practise as a self-employed chemist
