The Department of Molecular Sciences and Nanosystems operates in Italy and internationally by making available the knowledge and experience of its researchers and faculty members.
It provides scientific research support and develops new strategies as well as methodologies for research and archives, for the creation of training programmes and organizing activities for dissemination of culture in cooperation with public and private bodies.

Aries is focused on the development of products based on molecular biology applied to materials. It produces high-security markers based on synthetic DNA for art identification.
