Accessible route 1 - San Tomà (10 minutes)

Take one of the following water buses:

  • Line 1 from the Ferrovia stop (S. Lucia E landing stage) or Line 2 (Scalzi C landing stage);
  • Line 1 (Parisi B landing stage) or Line 2 (S. Chiara D landing stage) from the Piazzale Roma stop ;
  • Line 2 from the Tronchetto stop (Tronchetto SX landing stage);

then get off at the San Tomà stop.
Go straight down Calle del Traghetto Vecchio then turn left into Calle del Campanile. Go right to the end then turn right and continue along Fondamenta del Forner then cross the iron bridge (non-accessible) on your left.
Proceed along the narrow calle in front of you until you reach the end then continue along Calle Larga Foscari.
To cross it completely, before the bridge on the left you will find the entrance to the Rio Novo building.

Accessible route 2 - San Basilio (25 minutes)

Take one of the following water buses:

  • Line 2 from the Ferrovia stop (Scalzi B landing stage);
  • Line 2 (S. Chiara E landing stage) or Line 6 (Parisi C landing stage) from the Piazzale Roma stop;
  • Line 2 from the Tronchetto stop (Tronchetto DX landing stage);

then get off at the San Basilio stop.
Head down the Calle del Vento (opposite the stop), cross Campo San Basilio (street sign gives the name as “Campo San Basegio”) and continue along the street alongside the canal (the first stretch of which is called Fondamenta San Baseggio before turning into Fondamenta San Sebastiano).
At the end turn right into the Fondamenta del Soccorso and keep going until you reach Campo dei Carmini, which is overlooked by the church of the same name.
Take the calle running beside the church (Calle della Scuola).
Go straight ahead, keeping Campo S. Margherita (and the isolated building) on your left.
At the end turn right into Rio Tera' Canal and then take the first left into Calle de Mezo dea Vida.
At the end of the calle turn left then right into Calle della Madonna.
Go all the way down to the end of the calle until you reach Campiello degli Squellini.
Cross the campo then go down Calle Foscari.

Building accessibility

There are two steps to enter the building followed by a ramp to the elevator. 
The building is on two floors that are accessible via elevator (ask for the key in the porter’s lodge at Ca’ Dolfin).
The study rooms are on the first floor. On the second floor are a number of seminar rooms and along with some of the Ca’ Foscari central administration offices.

Toilets

There are 2 accessible toilets, one on the first floor, one on the second floor.
