Ca’ Foscari Shines in QS by Subject 2025: Excellence Across 16 Disciplines

Ca’ Foscari University reaffirms its status among institutions of international excellence, according to the new edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject, consulted by over 50 million students worldwide. The ranking, published on 12th March, places Ca’ Foscari among the top global universities in Classics and Ancient History (39th place) and Modern Languages (77th globally and 3rd in Italy).

Furthermore, for 2025, the University ranks among the top 150 universities globally for Theology, Divinity and Religious Studies, Hospitality & Leisure Management (3rd nationally), History (4th in Italy), and Archaeology (among the top 5 in Italian universities). Excellent results are also achieved in three disciplines recognised in the top 200 worldwide: Anthropology, Linguistics (both 3rd in Italy), and Geography (4th nationally). Additional subjects that are ranked include Accounting & Finance, Business & Management Studies, Economics & Econometrics, Environmental Sciences, and Computer Science and Information Systems.

Two new disciplines have entered the ranking this year - Communication & Media Studies (directly positioned 5th in Italy) and International Studies & Politics - bringing the total number of Ca’ Foscari subjects in the ranking to 16.

The QS team - Quacquarelli Symonds, evaluated academic reputation, impact in the world of work, and research outputs from over 5,200 global institutions. This prestigious ranking affirms and reflects Ca’ Foscari's consistent commitment and achievements over the years, highlighting the quality of both teaching and research and consolidating the University's position in the international academic landscape.
