Ca' Foscari was successfully assessed by the European evaluators of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R), and it can remain listed among the "HR Recognized Institutions" in Italy on the EURAXESS website.

The Human Resources Strategy for Researchers is a set of initiatives aimed at implementing the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for their Recruitment (C&C). These are a set of principles established by the European Union that govern the rights and duties of research institutions/universities and researchers at all stages of their careers.

The main purpose of the strategy is to enhance working conditions for all researchers and make the working environment attractive to the best talents. In 2017, the European Commission had positively evaluated Ca' Foscari’s action plan, and awarded the recognition that allowed the use of the "HR Excellence in Research" logo.

On October 13th, a new evaluation visit was held to verify whether our university complied with all the HRS4R implementation criteria. The analysis was conducted both on documents published on our website and through a series of meetings held on the day of the visit.

The evaluators' very positive assessment awarded Ca’ Foscari with the 'accepted' status, and it focused on the good practices applied in recruiting, working conditions and training opportunities for researchers, and welfare system.

"In Italy, only twenty universities, including Ca' Foscari, have been recognised with this award," said Rector Tiziana Lippiello. "We therefore must be proud of this collective achievement, earned through the efforts of the entire University, which testifies that we adhere to international standards in human resources management in the field of research."
