Ca' Foscari awarded by the Italian Ministry of Education for the Contamination Lab

Ca’ Foscari University of Venice arrives in third place among the awarded universities in Northern Italy awarded by the Italian Ministry of Education, MIUR, with specific funds to develop a ‘Contamination Lab’, spaces for exchange that promote innovation and entrepreneurship through multidisciplinary learning that gathers students and teachers of different fields.

Ca’ Foscari was ranked third in the ranking published by the Ministry of Education, MIUR, among 43 Northern Italy higher-education institutions and got 299.863 EUR out of 1.980.000 EUR awarded to the best seven universities.

Ca’ Foscari participated to the call with a project that aimed to enhance students’ creativity and support innovative and sustainable ideas through new and existing businesses. The project will be launched in the upcoming academic year and will participate to the development of students’ business skills.

The Rector of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice Michele Bugliesi said: “It is a great result that confirms the ability of Ca’ Foscari to offer innovative education activities to our students through workshops that are an integral part of our academic offer and contribute to enriching traditional academic offers with new forms of learning. These funds will allow us to reinforce this activity and to bring an ever increasing number of students to develop innovative business ideas”.

The project won for its quality and for the contribution of the many partners that will collaborate with us”.
