QS 2023: Ca' Foscari ranked in 16 subjects

Ca’ Foscari University of Venice achieves stable results in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023, one of the most influential rankings of universities worldwide: for the first time, 16 Ca' Foscari disciplines have made the prestigious international ranking.

The leading subjects are "Modern Languages" (66th place in the world and 3rd in Italy) and "Classical Studies and Ancient History" (Top 90 in the world and 9th in Italy), which reached top positions thanks to  their excellent international reputation. 

The university has also maintained first place in Italy for the "Hospitality and Leisure Management" subject (Top 100 in the world).

For the first year, Ca’ Foscari was also ranked among the best 150 universities worldwide and third in Italy for "Anthropology”

According to the comparison between 1,594 world universities curated by QS, the following are the subjects in which Ca' Foscari has also ranked high: Top 150 in the world and 4th in Italy for "History"; Top 150 and 5th in Italy for “Archaeology” ; Top 200 and 2nd in Italy for “Linguistics”. Top 200 and 4th in Italy for “Economics and Econometrics” ; Top 200 and 5th in Italy for “Philosophy”, Top 200 and 3rd in Italy for "Geography". The disciplines “Accounting and Finance”, “Law”, “Business and Management”, “Environmental Sciences”, “IT”, “Chemistry” have also made the ranking. 

In the broader subject areas, Ca' Foscari University of Venice performs best in Arts & Humanities, in which it places 140th.
