Alice Martignon ha conseguito la laurea triennale in Conservazione dei Beni Culturali (classe 13), la laurea specialistica in Storia delle Arti e Conservazione dei Beni Artistici (classe 95/S), entrambe presso l'Università Ca' Foscari Venezia, e il dottorato di ricerca in Storia dell’Arte presso l'Università degli Studi di Udine.
Attualmente è assegnista di ricerca postdottorale, cultrice della materia e collaboratrice del Laboratorio di Caratterizzazione dei Materiali del Dipartimento di Filosofia e Beni Culturali dell’Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia, è inoltre membro del gruppo di ricerca del medesimo dipartimento (responsabile: Prof. Giulio Pojana), per le linee di ricerca “Tecniche di valorizzazione dei Beni Culturali”, “Caratterizzazione dei materiali dei Beni Culturali” e “Diagnostica non invasiva applicata ai Beni Culturali”.
Dal 2021 coordina ARMID@Venezia (Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia/Conservatorio di Musica “Benedetto Marcello” di Venezia), progetto di ricerca dedicato alla digitalizzazione, al restauro virtuale, alla diagnostica non invasiva e allo studio di fonti antiche, finalista del Concorso Nazionale “Art Bonus” 2023 (Ministero della Cultura).
Martignon è esperta in metodi e tecniche per la conservazione e la tutela dei beni artistici (FSE annuale, Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia), è stata borsista postdottorale della Galleria Giorgio Franchetti alla Ca d’Oro ed ha collaborato con la Direzione regionale Musei Veneto. Ha maturato esperienza in ambito museale anche presso la Fondazione Musei Civici Venezia, l’Associazione Amici dei Musei e Monumenti Veneziani e la Casa-Museo “Villa Monastero” di Varenna (Lecco), dove ha curato alcune mostre.
Ha tenuto workshops per Ca’ Foscari School for International Education e per il Corso di Dottorato di Ricerca in Storia delle Arti, nell’ambito della medesima scuola di dottorato ha curato anche un corso (con il Prof. Giulio Pojana); è stata Teaching Assistant Senior del Dipartimento di Filosofia e Beni Culturali.
È membro del Comitato scientifico del progetto di ricerca ARMID@Venezia, della The International Art Market Studies Association, della The Society for the History of Collecting, dell’Arbeitskreis Provenienzforschung e.V., dell’Association of Historians of Nineteenth-Century Art ed è affiliata al Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia).
I suoi principali ambiti di ricerca sono il mercato dell’arte, le esportazioni lecite e illecite di beni culturali, il collezionismo, le arti decorative e gli eventi espositivi, con particolare attenzione al periodo medio ottocentesco-primo novecentesco; si occupa inoltre di digital humanities, temi sui quali sta co-curando varie tesi di laurea.
