Daniele Goldoni teaches Aesthetics of the Arts in EGART and Aesthetics in the master MASVIC – Ca’ Foscari University, Venice. He is art director of Ca’ Foscari’s JazzFest and musical activities for improvisation.

He wrote monographs on Marx (Il mito della trasparenza, Unicopli, Milan 1982), Hegel (Il riflesso dell’assoluto, Guerini, Milan 1992) and Hölderlin (Filosofia e paradosso, ESI, Neapolis 1990; Gratitudine. Voci di Hölderlin, Marinotti, Milan 2013). With R. Shusterman and R. Dreon he has co-authored the book Stili di vita, Mimesis, Milan 2012.

From 2004 to 2009 he organized seminars with live music in conjunction with the Contemporary Music Festival of the Venice Biennale, a performance of Elliot Sharp's composition Em/Pyres, 2006, and ComposAzione, 2009: contemporary music compositions for an improvisation ensemble. Since 2009 he is the person in charge of musical events for Ca’ Foscari University, leading the Ca’ Foscari workshop on improvised music (with guests the likes of Pauline Oliveros and Giancarlo Schiaffini, among others), and the university ensemble Elettrofoscari. He organized the Ca’ Foscari Jazz Festival in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016. As a musician, he performs in “free improvisation” and experimental ensembles as well as in groups focusing on a more traditional jazz repertoire.
