Associated Professor, teaching Restoration Chemistry and Restoration Techniques for Cultural Heritage. Author/coauthor of more than 60 papers published by international peer reviewed journals (current H-index: 24), among them, Spectrochimica acta, Journal of Raman Spectroscopy, Environmental Science & Technology, Journal of Chromatography A Environmental Health & Perspectives, Nanotoxicology, Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, Chemosphere, as well as coauthor of three book chapters and more than 120 communications at National and International Congresses and Conferences. He is/has been involved in several international and national research projects, among them:

His main research activities currently focus on the development and application of diagnostic techniques for the characterization of cultural heritage artefacts, as well as on their valorization through innovative digital tools. He is also an expert in the development of advanced methodologies for the physical and chemical characterization of engineered nanomaterials in commercial products, biological and environmental media, and for restoration purposes, as well as of microplastics in the marine environment. He also deeply investigated for more than 15 years, mainly applying HPLC-MS techniques, the environmental behavior of persistent and emerging contaminants and pollutants such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, surfactants, endocrine disrupters, pharmaceuticals, etc.
