Francesco Rullani is currently Full Professor at Ca' Foscari University of Venice (IT). He is also Scientific Collaborator at the Center on Sustainability, Inclusion, Digitalization (CeSID), at LUISS Business School.

His research focuses on self-organized digital innovation, social innovation and social entrepreneurship. In particular, the organizational dynamics of digital communities and their impact on the economic system, and the mechanisms allowing hybrid organizations to merge social impact and economic sustainability, are among the key issues he has been interested in.

Francesco has explored these themes employing mainly big data analytics, but also theoretical elaboration, qualitative case studies and formal modeling.

He has been Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at LUISS University in Rome (IT), where he was job market officer for the PhD in Management, and Founder and Head of ERShub, the hub gathering all the activities undertaken within the LUISS Business School that relate to ethics, responsibility and sustainability (now CeSID).

Previously, he has been Visiting Associate Professor, and before Assistant Professor and Post-Doc, at Copenhagen Business School (DK), visiting fellow at Stanford University (USA) and Bocconi University (IT). He received his Ph.D. from Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies (IT) and has worked as Junior Researcher at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei.

His publications appeared in Strategic Management Journal, Research Policy, Regional Studies, Journal of Business Ethics, Industrial and Corporate Change, and others.

He has led and/or participated in projects financed by the European Union (e.g., H2020), National and Regional Authorities (e.g., PRIN; POR FSE), companies and their associations (e.g., RetImpresa) and NGO's (e.g., ActionAid).
