Making Games In and Out of Japan: Reflections on an Indie Game Developer’s Journey

Abstract: A graduate of Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto, Christophe Galati has been involved in the creation and development of video games since 2013. Currently the CEO of Deneos Games, which he founded, he has extensive knowledge of the game industry and of the game development process. In this open discussion, Christophe will reflect on his experience as an indie developer, detailing his journey from self teaching with RPG Maker to founding his own company. The event will explore the inner workings of the game industry, while also unveiling the role Japan and its culture play in Christophe’s art.
