This Double Master's Degree in Economics is jointly organized by Ca' Foscari University of Venice and Université Aix-Marseille. It allows selected students to attend courses in both Universities and obtain a Double Degree:

  • Master’s Degree in Economics and Finance or Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance and Sustainability and Master’s in Economics (paths: Econométrie, Big Data et Statistiques, Analyse des Politiques Economiques, Economie Théorique et Empirique, Finance Quantitative et Assurance);
  • Master’s Degree in Data Analytics for Business and Society and Master’s in Economics (path: Econométrie, Big Data et Statistiques).

Students will spend their first year at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and will take all the exams of the first year (60 ECTS credits). During their second year, students may decide either to spend their full second year (60 ECTS credits) or a semester (30 ECTS credits) abroad at Aix-Marseille.


Admission requirements

This Double Degree programme is reserved to students enrolled in the Master’s Degree programmes in:

  • Economics and Finance
  • Economics, Finance and Sustainability
  • Data Analytics for Business and Society

at Ca' Foscari University of Venice.
As for the 2021/2022 academic year, this Double Degree programme is reserved to students enrolled in the Master’s Degree programme in Economics and Finance. Starting from the 2022/2023 academic year, this programme will be extended to students enrolled in the Master’s Degree programmes in Economics, Finance and Sustainability and Data Analytics for Business and Society as well.

Students must have a satisfactory level of proficiency in English.

Students can apply for the programme following the procedures and deadlines outlined in the DJD Call for applications and its annexes, which are published annually.

The results of the selection process are published on this webpage, according to the timelines specified in Annex A to the Call.

Equivalences between Aix-Marseille courses and Ca' Foscari courses

Once selected, students must contact the Academic Coordinator of the Double Degree Programme (Prof. Monica Billio or Prof. Agar Brugiavini) to discuss about the educational activities they will attend abroad and to formalize their Learning Agreement, based on the equivalence between Aix-Marseille courses and Ca' Foscari courses. Students will refer to their Academic Coordinator for the changes to their study plans and Learning Agreements as well.


Semester or entire academic year abroad

Students will be contacted by the staff of the Welcome Unit for information about the procedures to carry out before, during and after the mobility period, taking place in the second year (either full academic year or one semester).
