Marco Aime teaches Cultural anthropology at the University of Genoa. He is one of the world's leading experts on anthropology and culture. He has also worked on travel. His many books include Eccessi di culture (“Excesses of Cultures”), L’altro e l’altrove. Antropologia, geografia e turismo (“The Other and the Elsewhere. Anthropology, Geography and Tourism”), La fatica di diventare grande (“The hard Work of Growing Up”), Contro il razzismo (“Against Racism”), Classificare, separare, escludere (“Classify, separate, exclude”), La carovana del sultano (“The Sultan’s Caravan”), L'isola del non arrivo.
